As the Legal Assistant/Paralegal you will perform a variety of projects and tasks to support the firm's lawyers in a professional yet relaxed office environment.
Initially, this will be an in-office position, but can become a hybrid schedule depending upon experience level and/or after an acceptable training and integration period.
What the Legal Assistant/Paralegal will do:
Client communications Reception and client intake Maintaining and organizing files Drafting Preparing Filing and/or recording various types of legal documents Preparing correspondence Maintaining calendars/scheduling Managing attorney's task list Processing billing Other legal assistant tasks as needed.
What the Legal Assistant/Paralegal will need to have:

years' Legal assistant or paralegal experience.
Experience in the areas of family law required Thorough knowledge of legal principles and practices, ethics, contracts, corporate records, research techniques, legal terminology, and communication principles and practices Communicative, curious, proactive, takes initiative, and enjoys a sense of ownership Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is necessary for this position.
Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
Systems-oriented with excellent project/task management skills Above average writing, editing and proof-reading skills, and strives for accuracy Skilled at reading, analyzing and drawing conclusions from information presented Responds positively to changes to deadlines, priorities, etc.
